Getting unstuck, deleting your account, reporting something, and reaching a person.

Reaching a person

Email support@maisoniam.com. It helps a great deal if you say what you were doing and what you saw instead. Please never send a password or a key: nobody here will ask you for one.

Maison needs a Maison computer

The app connects to a Maison, a computer that runs the assistant. On first launch it asks for your Maison's address, which you get from whoever invited you. If nobody has set one up for you yet, start here.

Signing in

Enter your email address and Maison sends you an eight-digit code. The code expires after ten minutes, so if it has been sitting in your inbox, ask for a new one. If it never arrives, check spam, then check with whoever invited you that they added the address you are typing.

It says it cannot reach your Maison

Almost always the Maison computer is off, asleep, or has lost its network. Nothing is wrong with the app or your account. Whoever runs that computer needs to look at it.

Voice and notifications

The microphone needs permission the first time you tap to talk. If you declined, iOS will not ask again: turn it back on in the iPhone Settings app, under Maison. Notifications work the same way.

Deleting your account

  1. Open Settings in the app, or on the web.
  2. Scroll to the bottom. Delete My Account is the last item, below Log Out.
  3. Type your own email address to confirm. It is immediate and cannot be undone.

It removes your account, conversations, workspace, files, what Maison remembers about you and your connected Google account. Messages you posted in shared projects stay, shown as from a removed person. To also remove your sign-in record and device keys, write to support@maisoniam.com from the address you signed in with. The privacy policy lists exactly what is removed and what remains.

Reporting content or a person

In a shared project, open the menu on a message or a file and choose Report this message or Report this file, then say why. It is hidden for you straight away. From the same menu you can Block the person who posted it; they are not told, and you stop seeing what they post.

The project's owners see the report and act on it. If nobody has handled it within 24 hours, it goes to us at Maison and we review it ourselves. You can also write to support@maisoniam.com about anything you see in Maison that should not be there.
